Design and build
Layouts that work on a phone, match your brand, and lead to a form or a shop.
About
I design and build websites for UK small businesses. You deal with me, not a sales desk. Price is fixed for the agreed work. After launch I can host and maintain the site, or hand it over cleanly.
Overview
I am based in Essex and work with local and UK-wide clients. Most projects run remotely: a short brief, a written quote, a private staging link, then launch.
WordPress when you need to edit pages yourself. WooCommerce when you need to take orders. Custom PHP when a normal CMS is the wrong shape. AI can speed drafts; I still check security, speed and brand fit before anything goes live.
Details
The work, not the adjectives.
Layouts that work on a phone, match your brand, and lead to a form or a shop.
Sites you can edit after training. WooCommerce with payments, shipping and order emails.
Logins, portals, invoices and small apps in PHP and MariaDB when WordPress is a fight.
SSL, backups, updates and a person who already knows the codebase.
In practice
I will not promise Google rankings. I will not pretend a five-page site is a six-month agency production. I will not dump unreviewed AI output onto a live domain.
If DIY or a template is enough for your situation, I will say so on the call.
Outcomes
No account manager in the middle.
Included, excluded, price, timeline.
You leave notes on a private preview.
Access, training if WordPress, optional hosting.
Send a short note about the project. I will reply with fit, rough cost and next steps.
Process
Same four steps as the rest of the site.
What you sell, who it is for, pages or features, deadline.
Fixed price for the agreed work.
Design and development on a staging link.
Go-live checks, access, optional care.
