Frequently asked questions

Do I have to host with you?

No — but care packages are simplest when hosting is under the same roof. I can also maintain sites on quality hosts you already use.

Can you move my site to new hosting?

Yes. Planned migrations with low downtime, SSL, DNS cutover and post-move checks.

Is email included?

Setup guidance and DNS for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or similar. Mailbox provider subscription fees are usually paid direct to the provider — I’ll be clear what’s included.

What about backups?

Care plans include a backup approach suited to the site. Critical: we care about restore, not just that a backup file exists somewhere.

How fast do you respond?

Retainers define priority. Ad-hoc support is best-effort in UK working hours unless we’ve agreed something different in writing.

Can you manage WordPress updates?

Yes on care plans — with judgment on major version jumps and plugin risk.

What if my site is a custom PHP app?

Also fine. Many of my care clients run custom systems alongside WordPress marketing sites.
