WordPress is a content system you host yourself. It works well for brochure sites, blogs and shops. It is free software; a good site still needs design, structure and care.
I do not ship random free themes with 40 plugins.

Page-builder spaghetti, paid “premium” themes that break on every update, and plugin piles that slow the site to a crawl. If DIY Wix or Squarespace is enough for you, I will say so.
