Case study

Product shop with a full storefront.

A small product brand needed more than a one-page “buy now”. It needed a shop, a story, a journal, delivery and returns, and a checkout path a real person could finish on a phone.

Overview

The job

The brand already had a product. The site had to feel like a shop: photography, pair offers, a bag, delivery thresholds, and pages people look for before they pay (ingredients, delivery, returns, privacy).

I designed and built a multi-page storefront with shared chrome, a journal, lookbook and a checkout that collects the order so it can be confirmed — not a dead-end contact form pretending to be ecommerce.

Details

What shipped

Storefront pages, not just a hero.

Shop and product

Catalogue, gallery, quantities and a bag with a free-delivery meter.

Story and ritual

Brand pages that explain why the product exists, without a 4,000-word homepage.

Journal

Short pieces that support the shop instead of a disconnected blog theme.

Policies

Delivery, returns, privacy, terms — the pages that make a shop feel finished.

In practice

Stack notes

This storefront is a purpose-built PHP shop on the same host as the studio, with photography-led pages and a bag that does not need a 40-plugin WooCommerce stack to sell a small range.

Larger catalogues, shipping rules and accounting still often belong in WooCommerce. I pick the stack for the size of the shop, not the fashion.

Outcomes

What this proves

A shop can be a set of pages

Not one landing page and a hope.

Phone checkout was a requirement

Policies were in the IA from day one

Photography was treated as the product

Process

How it ran

Content and photos were the long pole, not the CSS.

Range

Products, pair offer, what must be true at checkout.

IA

Shop, story, journal, policies, contact.

Build

Pages, bag, checkout, photography, motion that does not fight the phone.

Launch

SSL, forms, sitemap, and a way to take the order.

Fit

Who this is for

A good fit if you…

  • A small range that still needs a real shop
  • You care how it looks on a phone
  • You want policies and a story, not only a Buy button

Not the right fit if you…

  • A 4,000-SKU marketplace
  • Dropshipping spam

FAQ

Questions

Is this WooCommerce?

This particular shop is a lean custom storefront. I also build WooCommerce when the catalogue, shipping and accounting need it.

Can I see it?

The live shop is on this host under Love Healing.

Do you do product photography?

I art-direct and implement. Some stills were produced for the brand; some jobs use what you already have.

Need a shop that is actually a shop?

Tell me the range, payments and how you fulfil. I will map WooCommerce or a leaner storefront.
